THE PERFECT FIT GUIDE
ESSENTIAL MEASUREMENT PROTOCOL
To ensure your bespoke gown is sculpted to absolute perfection, please review our guidance rules prior to taking your figures:
- Specify Units: Indicate all measurements clearly in centimeters (cm) or inches (in).
- Net Figures Only: Take all measurements without adding seam allowances and avoid pulling the tape too tightly.
- Bridal Footwear: Wear your exact wedding day heels or footwear of the same height during measurement.
- Keep It Level: Ensure the measuring tape remains strictly parallel to the floor at all times.
- Undergarments: Measure while wearing a comfortable bra and snug-fitting clothing.
- Assistance: For optimal precision, we strongly recommend following our tutorial video and asking a partner or friend to assist you.
- Required Items: A soft fabric measuring tape, a thin ribbon or string for waist reference, your bridal heels, and a notepad with a pen.
16-POINT COUTURE MEASUREMENT GUIDE
1. Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, ensuring the tape stays horizontal and rests gently without compressing the chest.
2. Underbust
Place the tape directly beneath your bustline, parallel to the floor, taking the measurement while your arms rest naturally at your sides.
3. Bust Apex & Cup Depth
Take this measurement while wearing a bra.
(Note: Fiore’s Bridal bespoke gowns are engineered with built-in corset structures designed to be worn without a bra for ultimate comfort and elegance).
Measure vertically from above the bust down to the underbust, passing directly over the center apex.
- 3a. State your current bra size.
- 3b. Specify whether your reference bra is padded or unpadded.
4. Natural Waist
Tie a thin ribbon or string around the narrowest part of your waist as a permanent reference line throughout the fitting. Take the measurement without holding or extending your breath.
5. Full Hips
Measure around the fullest, widest point of your hips and seat.
6. Waist to Floor
Stand upright with proper posture and measure vertically from the waist reference line straight down to the floor.
7. Shoulder to Floor
Stand tall and measure from the high point of your shoulder straight down to the floor.
8. Shoulder to Bust Point
Measure from the mid-point of your shoulder down to the apex of your bust.
9. Shoulder to Natural Waist
Measure from the mid-point of your shoulder, passing directly over your bust apex, down to the waist reference line.
10. Shoulder Width (Back)
Stand straight and measure across your back from the outer edge of one shoulder joint to the other.
11. Shoulder Width (Front)
Stand straight and measure across your chest from the outer edge of one shoulder joint to the other.
12. Neck to Shoulder Point
Measure from the base of your neck along the top seam to the edge of your shoulder bone.
SLEEVE & ARM MEASUREMENTS
(Points 13 through 16 are required exclusively for gowns with sleeves).
13. Sleeve Length
With your arm resting naturally at your side, measure from the outer shoulder point down to your wrist bone.
14. Bicep Circumference
Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm between the shoulder and elbow while your arm is relaxed.
15. Elbow Circumference
Slightly bend your arm and measure around the widest part of your elbow joint.
16. Wrist Circumference
Measure comfortably around your wrist bone with your hand relaxed.
